Football Game Preview: North Forney Falcons vs. Sachse Mustangs

The North Forney Falcons will square off against the Sachse Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Forney knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Sachse likes a good challenge.

North Forney had to skate by with only a one-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 24-point drubbing they dealt Rockwall on Friday. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 63-39 margin over the Yellowjackets. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won seven games by 24 points or more so far this season.

Legend Bey continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 270 yards on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 203 yards and one TD on only 13 passes. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in September of 2024. A healthy portion of Bey's aerial production (120 yards to be exact) went to Briceson Thrower Jr..

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something North Forney proved: they limited Rockwall to a paltry 3.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Aayden Minger for the heroic effort on defense: he. North Forney didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 12.8.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Sachse's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 42-33 to Rowlett.

North Forney will have to keep a close watch on Marcus Rhoden and Christian McCaffrey, a pair of players who had a big impact on Sachse's prior game. Rhoden picked up 182 receiving yards and three scores, while McCaffrey threw for 248 yards and three touchdowns. Rhoden really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 70 yards.

North Forney pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. As for Sachse, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
