Basketball Game Preview: Christian Fenger Academy Titans vs. Bogan Bengals

After both having extra time off, the Christian Fenger Academy Titans and the Bogan Bengals will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Christian Fenger Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Christian Fenger Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Catalyst-Maria to the tune of 67-30 last Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bogan, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They blew past Englewood Stem, posting a 57-17 win. The Bengals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 36 points or more this season.

Christian Fenger Academy better focus on containing Ra'Niyah Beal and Aliyah Sandoka as the pair were huge in Bogan's win. Beal posted ten points and five steals, while Sandoka had seven points and 12 rebounds. Bogan is 4-2 when Beal posts three or more steals, but 1-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Harmony Burgs, who put up six points.

Christian Fenger Academy's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-4. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.6 points per game. As for Bogan, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-7.

Christian Fenger Academy and Bogan were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but Christian Fenger Academy came up empty-handed after a 36-35 loss. Can Christian Fenger Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
