There's no place like home for Timothy Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They put the hurt on Chicago Hope Academy with a sharp 16-5 win on Monday. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.

Maci Woerner spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Sophia Mook and Lauren Kottke did most of the damage at the plate: Mook went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Kottke went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI Kottke has posted since back in April. Chloe Granger was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Timothy Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chicago Hope Academy only posted an OBP of .438.

Timothy Christian pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Chicago Hope Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.
