Football Game Preview: West Tallahatchie Choctaws vs. Okolona Chieftains + Official Tickets

The West Tallahatchie Choctaws will take on the Okolona Chieftains at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Okolona is facing West Tallahatchie at the wrong time: West Tallahatchie suffered their first home loss of the season on Thursday and they're likely out for redemption. They fell 34-26 to the Tigers.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Okolona, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Vardaman by a score of 34-26 on Thursday. Considering the Chieftains' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Okolona's win came from a few key players West Tallahatchie will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaylen Jennings, who rushed for 44 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 112 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes. Tre'Vuan Vance was another key player, rushing for 94 yards and one score on only 13 carries.

West Tallahatchie's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for Okolona, they moved to 4-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
