Providence Catholic lost against Homewood-Flossmoor back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Celtics fell 6-3 to the Vikings. The Celtics' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Providence Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-13.

Coming up, Providence Catholic will take on Andrew at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, they will face off against Lincoln-Way East at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Griffins' pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
