Volleyball Game Preview: Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears vs. Taft Toreadors

The Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears will take on the Taft Toreadors at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Port of Los Angeles comes in on three and Taft on four.

Port of Los Angeles will bounce into Saturday's matchup after beating GALA, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Polar Bears walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Goddesses on Thursday.

Port of Los Angeles had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 27-29, 25-20, 25-22, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Taft got the win against Chatsworth on Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0.

The win didn't come easy: Chatsworth scored at least 20 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 25-20.

Port of Los Angeles' victory bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Taft, their win bumped their record up to 26-11.

Port of Los Angeles couldn't quite get it done against Taft when the teams last played back in September of 2016 as they fell 2-0. Can the Polar Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
