Football Game Preview: Springer/Maxwell vs. Vaughn

On Friday Springer/Maxwell take on Vaughn at 7:00 PM. Vaughn will need to watch out since Springer/Maxwell have now posted big point totals in their last three contests.

Springer/Maxwell were fully in charge last week, breezing past Lake Arthur 59-6. Springer/Maxwell were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

Meanwhile, if Vaughn were riding high off their 56-0 takedown of Roy/Mosquero two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Vaughn might be aching after a bruising 30-63 loss to Elida.

Springer/Maxwell's victory lifted them to 2-1 while Vaughn's defeat dropped them down to 2-1. These are two of the top teams in the state, so whatever the outcome when they meet, this is not one you'll want to miss.
