Volleyball Recap: Broadwater Academy Wins Going Away Against Arcadia

Broadwater Academy's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Arcadia Firebirds. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Firebirds: they've now won seven in a row.

Broadwater Academy was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-18, 25-19.

Broadwater Academy found their leader in freshman Caroline Caison, who had 11 aces and three digs. Those 11 aces set a new season-high mark for Caison. Lily Scott also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Broadwater Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 30 aces. They are a perfect 4-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Broadwater Academy's record now sits at 5-2. As for Arcadia, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Broadwater Academy will be playing at home against Chincoteague at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Arcadia, they will head out to square off against Westmoreland at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
