Softball Recap: Scurry-Rosser Comes Up Short

Scurry-Rosser was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 15-2 to the Mineola Yellowjackets. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Yellowjackets from their previous meeting back in February of 2023.

Scurry-Rosser saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaycee Rhoades, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Rhoades has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played.

Scurry-Rosser's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Mineola, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-6-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scurry-Rosser will challenge Grandview at 7:00 p.m. on March 18th. As for Mineola, they will square off against Malakoff at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
