Volleyball Recap: Cranston East Takes a Loss

Cranston East lost against North Kingstown back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Thunderbolts took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Skippers. The contest marked the Thunderbolts' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-13, 21-25, 25-16.

Leading North Kingstown to victory were Jayden Yang and Stephen Dufour. Yang had nine digs and two aces, while Dufour had 11 digs and two assists. That's the most aces Yang has posted over his last five matches.

Cranston East's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for North Kingstown, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cranston East is set to take on their familiar foe La Salle Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, North Kingstown will challenge rival Coventry at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
