Basketball Game Preview: Edison Chargers vs. Marina Vikings

The Edison Chargers will square off against the Marina Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Edison is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

Edison came up short against Corona del Mar on Friday, falling 53-28. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 962nd, while the Sea Kings are ranked 216th).

Meanwhile, Marina unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 56-36 to Los Alamitos.

Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 4-23. As for Marina, their loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-11.

Edison was dealt a bruising 69-29 defeat at the hands of Marina when the teams last played back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Marina's Rylee Bradley, who went 10 for 20 on her way to 28 points and eight steals.
