Soccer Recap: BASIS Phoenix Takes a Loss

BASIS Phoenix was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Westview Knights. While losing is never fun, the Firebirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Knights are ranked 15th).

BASIS Phoenix's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Westview, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

BASIS Phoenix didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-1 win against ALA - Anthem South on the 10th. Westview has also already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Moon Valley on the 11th.
