Baseball Game Preview: Palmer Ridge Bears vs. Lutheran Lions

For the second straight game, Palmer Ridge will face off against Lutheran. The Bears will welcome the Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palmer Ridge hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

On Tuesday, Palmer Ridge didn't have quite enough to beat Lutheran and fell 3-2.

For Lutheran's part, Landry Warner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Anthony Misch was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.

Lutheran has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Palmer Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.
