Baseball Game Preview: Kofa Kings vs. San Luis Sidewinders

For the second straight game, Kofa will face off against San Luis. The Kings will venture away from home to challenge the Sidewinders at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Kofa is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Kofa came up short against San Luis and fell 9-4.

Kofa got a good showing from Jesus Villa, who tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Villa has become a key player for the Kings: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-7 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Jose Castro made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Kofa's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for San Luis, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-11.
