Volleyball Recap: Orleans Has No Trouble Against Clarksville

Orleans had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Clarksville on Monday. The Bulldogs blew past the Generals 3-0. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Generals, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Orleans was: they took every set by at least 16 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-7, 25-9.

Callie Alston paced Orleans' offense, picking up seven kills. Alston were helped by Halle Wolfe and Emma Rutherford, who contributed four assists each. Cordelia Robbins controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Orleans' victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Orleans didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Lanesville on the 19th. As for Clarksville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Southwestern on the 20th.
