Desert Mountain had already won 19 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it 20 on Tuesday. They blew past the Campo Verde Coyotes 14-0. Considering the Wolves have won 12 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lilly 'Goose' Goodwin made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 18 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Zoe Horning was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Gabby Borovansky was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Desert Mountain was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .542. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Campo Verde only posted a batting average of .211.

Desert Mountain pushed their record up to 23-1-1 with the win, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Campo Verde, their loss dropped their record down to 10-16.

Desert Mountain will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Coyotes: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
