Football Recap: Jim Thorpe Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Jim Thorpe's offense. They took a blow against the Blue Mountain Eagles on Friday, falling 47-0. The loss continues a trend for the Olympians in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

Cole Lazorick threw for 66 yards on three of ten attempts. Connor Zurawa was his top target, picking up 43 receiving yards.

Blue Mountain's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reese Miller, who rushed for 25 yards and four touchdowns. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Miller a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cohen Kirby, who threw for 100 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 88.9% of his passes.

Jim Thorpe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Blue Mountain, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
