Baseball Recap: Key West Victorious

Key West had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged out the Berkeley Prep Buccaneers 4-2. That's more bragging rights for the Conchs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Vinny Moline spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February.

At the plate, Key West saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden Pichardo, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Key West's record is now 10-6. As for Berkeley Prep, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 13-4 record.

Key West has already played their next contest (against Dade Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Berkeley Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Northside Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northside Christian will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Berkeley Prep surely won't give up without a fight.
