Hilton Head Prep is a perfect 10-0 against John Paul II since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Dolphins will head out on the road to challenge the Golden Warrriors at 5:00 p.m. Hilton Head Prep's pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so John Paul II's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Hilton Head Prep's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Northwood Academy. The result was nothing new for the Dolphins, who have now won 16 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, John Paul II beat Hilton Head Island 12-9 on Monday.

Stewart Misko made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He has become a key player for John Paul II: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise.

In other batting news, Archer Dewig was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. John Paul II is undefeated when Dewig posts two or more runs, but 1-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Davis, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

John Paul II kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hilton Head Island only managed five hits.

Hilton Head Prep's victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for John Paul II, their record now sits at 7-5.

Hilton Head Prep skirted past John Paul II 3-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dolphins since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
