On Tuesday, Challenger had to settle for second even though Riley Annis put up the best numbers he has all season. Annis went 8 of 20 on his way to 25 points and seven steals. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 15.6 points per game. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Annis and Challenger will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Temple Baptist at 6:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
