Softball Recap: Holmes County Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Holmes County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Blountstown Tigers with a sharp 12-2 win on Wednesday. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by eight runs or more this season.

Bri Adams was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Ava Jones was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Holmes County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Blountstown only posted an OBP of .263.

Holmes County's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Blountstown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Holmes County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-0 win against South Walton on the 10th. As for Blountstown, they have also already played their next game, an 18-0 victory against Marianna on the 11th.
