Volleyball Recap: St. Vincent Indians vs. Jefferson Blue Jays
With a playoff game on the line, St. Vincent rose to the challenge on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the Jefferson Blue Jays 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Indians sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
St. Vincent had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 21-25, 26-24, 25-17, 15-11.
St. Vincent was led to victory by Brie Rubel and Callie Schnurbusch. Rubel had 25 digs, while Schnurbusch had 11 digs.
Despite the loss, Jefferson still got an impressive performance from Louise Duepner, who had 14 digs.
