Cumberland waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 55-53 win over the Unity Christian Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pirates have posted since December 19, 2024.

Cumberland's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points over those games. As for Unity Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-18 record this season.
