Softball Recap: Halls Wins Going Away Against Clarksburg

Halls won the last time they faced Clarksburg and things went their way on Friday too. Halls blew past Clarksburg 9-1. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by eight runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Emya Brown, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-2. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Turnbow, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Halls and bumps their season record up to 6-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Clarksburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Halls will be playing at home against Crockett County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clarksburg, they will venture away from home to square off against Hughes at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
