Basketball Recap: Centerville's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

Centerville and Parke Heritage squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Centerville had to settle for second. They took a 47-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Parke Heritage Wolves. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Centerville lost, don't look at Landyn Keiser. Despite the final result, he shot 86% from the field on his way to 16 points and six rebounds. The last time Keiser's shooting accuracy was this high was back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Shea Hollendonner, who posted 12 points.

Treigh Schelsky continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Parke Heritage, going 5-for-11 to rack up 18 points and five boards. Schelsky continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of BT Luce, who scored ten points.

Centerville's defeat dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Parke Heritage, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season.

Centerville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Parke Heritage, they will face off against Forest Park at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Forest Park comes in on four and Parke Heritage on ten.
