Volleyball Game Preview: Los Banos Tigers vs. El Capitan Gauchos

Los Banos is 0-3 against El Capitan since February of 2024 but things could change on Thursday. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Gauchos at 5:30 p.m.

Los Banos is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Buhach Colony.

While Los Banos was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-23, 25-16.

Meanwhile, El Capitan had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Falcons. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

El Capitan had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-14.

Los Banos' loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for El Capitan, they pushed their record up to 27-11 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
