League recap: Osceola extends winning streak with victory over Gateway

Osceola added to the longest winning streak in 7A District 6 this week by beating Gateway, 21-0. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.

Lake Nona took down Celebration 54-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. TUCKER ISRAEL threw for 442 yards and 4 touchdowns during the win.

He was 24-27 with 0 interceptions.

RYAN SOUSA was the best wideout in the league this week as Lake Nona topped the Storm. SOUSA tallied 5 receptions for 117 yards. MEHDI ELATTRACH helped Lake Nona's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 103 yards.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Anthony Paradiso's team's ISRAEL and SOUSA have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-1 quarterback ISRAEL has thrown for 2,625 yards this season, while SOUSA has 71 catches for 1,149 yards. Stefano Saragusa from Celebration leads the league in rushing with 627 yards.

An important game coming up in 7A District 6 this week will be when Lake Nona takes on Harmony. Lake Nona is currently in second, while the Longhorns are in third.

St. Cloud made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,605 from 8,988. The improvement was largely due to a 27-14 victory over Liberty last week.
