Softball Recap: Jesup Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Jesup had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came out on top against the Independence Mustangs by a score of 10-6. That's more bragging rights for the J-Hawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jesup's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Independence, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
