It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but NELA Christian Homeschool ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They secured a 53-49 W over the Acadiana Christian Lions. The win was just business as usual for the Flame, who after seven games remain undefeated this season.

NELA Christian Homeschool's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emory Niswanger, who posted nine points and six boards. What's more, Niswanger also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in November of 2023. Another player making a difference was Bostyn Fisher, who had 15 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals.

Despite the loss, Acadiana Christian still got an impressive performance from Yvette Olivier, who almost dropped a double-double on 32 points and nine rebounds. Olivier is crushing it when it comes to points: she's scored at least 16 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kacey Moore, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

NELA Christian Homeschool pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.3 points per game. As for Acadiana Christian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2.

NELA Christian Homeschool will face off against John Paul the Great Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 10th. NELA Christian Homeschool's defense has only allowed 28.1 points per game this season, so John Paul the Great Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. Acadiana Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
