Azle entered their tilt with Saginaw on Friday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Rough Riders. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-0 last Tuesday.

Garrin Graves spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Azle saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob McGee, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Ty Bonnett also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Azle pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Saginaw, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15-1.

Coming up, Azle is taking a road trip to square off against Granbury at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Granbury's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Azle's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Saginaw, they will square off against Boswell at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
