Basketball Recap: Tulelake Makes It Five in a Row at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Modoc, Tulelake was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Butte Valley Bulldogs with a sharp 55-35 victory. That 20 point margin sets a new team best for the Honkers this season.

Tulelake's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.6 points over those games. As for Butte Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Coming up, Tulelake will be taking part in a tournament against Fall River at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Honkers will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.86 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Butte Valley, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Plumas Charter at 1:30 p.m. on January 3, 2026.
