Basketball Game Preview: Clyde Fliers vs. Perkins Pirates

Clyde and Perkins are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Clyde Fliers will be playing at home against the Perkins Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clyde knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 18 games -- so hopefully Perkins likes a good challenge.

Last Saturday, Clyde earned an 80-70 win over Norwalk.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Perkins). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Shelby 87-55. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 28 points or more this season.

Clyde's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-8. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points per game. As for Perkins, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Things could have been worse for Clyde, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 75-58 loss to Perkins when the teams last played back in January.
