Stafford is a perfect 10-0 against La Marque since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Spartans will square off against the Cougars at 6:30 p.m. Stafford has given up an average of 6.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Stafford's offense. They lost 11-0 to Sealy on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Spartans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, La Marque fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Almeta Crawford on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 9-8.

Kamori Walker was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4. Katherine Salazar was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

La Marque's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Stafford, they moved to 10-7-1 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Stafford has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .445. However, it's not like La Marque struggles in that department as they've averaged .597. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Stafford took their win against La Marque in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 16-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
