Basketball Recap: Irvington Drops Highest Score of Season Against Ossining

Irvington scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against the Ossining Pride, falling 92-70. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 59-29 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ossining to victory, but perhaps none more so than Saniya Bell, who posted 40 points along with eight boards and three steals. Bell's afternoon made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Claire Schnecker was another key player, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 13 rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Irvington and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Ossining, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Irvington has already played their next match (against Nyack), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ossining has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Fox Lane.
