Volleyball Recap: Steele Canyon Comes Up Short

Steele Canyon lost against Del Norte on Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cougars took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nighthawks.

Taylor Carpenter paced Steele Canyon's offense, picking up six kills. Carpenter got some help from Chloe Stock and her 14 assists.

Steele Canyon has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for Del Norte, the win got them back to even at 12-12-2.

Coming up, Steele Canyon will be playing in front of their home fans against Mount Miguel at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Del Norte, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Albany on the 11th.
