Basketball Recap: Kennedy Comes Up Short

If Kennedy was riding high fresh off their 71-45 takedown of Mission back in December of 2024, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Kennedy Eagles took a 54-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hercules Titans on Tuesday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Hercules had a senior duo take command as Tyler Bautista posted 16 points and Keoni Espeleta earned 12 points. Bautista is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Kennedy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Hercules, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Kennedy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 54-22 win against Richmond on the 10th. Hercules has also already played their next contest, a 57-45 loss against San Lorenzo on the 8th.
