Baseball Recap: Fallbrook Wins Going Away Against Mission Vista

Fallbrook barely beat Mission Vista the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors blew past Mission Vista 11-4 on Tuesday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with Mission Vista recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Evan Thomas made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Fallbrook is 5-2 when Thomas allows one or fewer earned runs, but 5-9 otherwise. Thomas was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brayden Dent, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Teague Lucy was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs.

Fallbrook kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 5-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Fallbrook's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Mission Vista, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.
