Whiteland extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 6-4 in the process. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-2 on Tuesday.

Whiteland saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyrstin Farr, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

Whiteland hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

As for Franklin Community, they now have a losing record of 4-5. The match marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

On Franklin Community's side, Bryleigh Carlisle-Haltom spent all 7.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on eight hits. Carlisle-Haltom has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

Whiteland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-7 victory against Brownstown Central on the 26th. As for Franklin Community, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 6-4 win against Columbus East on the 26th.
