Soccer Game Preview: Royal vs. Canoga Park

The Royal Highlanders and the Canoga Park Hunters will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Royal is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over North Hollywood on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Highlanders as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Canoga Park won against North Hollywood on Thursday with two goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Friday. Canoga Park had just enough and edged Crespi out 2-1. That's two games straight that the Hunters have won by just one goal.

Royal's record is now 2-10-2. As for Canoga Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3-2 record this season.

Everything went Royal's way against Canoga Park in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, as Royal made off with a 3-0 victory. Does Royal have another victory up their sleeve, or will Canoga Park turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
