Baseball Recap: Pamlico County's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

After flying high against Northside - Pinetown last Tuesday, Pamlico County came back down to earth. Pamlico County took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northside - Pinetown on Friday. Hurricanes fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Panthers since on Friday.

Brady Caccavaro made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

The defeat snapped Pamlico County's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-7 record. As for Northside - Pinetown, their record now sits at 4-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pamlico County will take on Southside at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pamlico County is facing Southside at the right time seeing as Southside is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Northside - Pinetown, they will challenge East Carteret at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Carteret will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something Northside - Pinetown surely won't give up without a fight.
