Baseball Game Preview: Malone Tigers vs. Sneads Pirates

Malone hasn't had much luck against Sneads recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Tigers will take on the Pirates at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Malone fell victim to Wewahitchka and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Gators, falling 7-0. Having soared to a lofty 24 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Sneads couldn't beat Seminole County on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Pirates fell just short of the Indians by a score of 10-8. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Pirates, who until this matchup were averaging 3.46 runs allowed.

Sneads saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Griffin Pickron, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another was Kinsey Ragans, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Sneads' defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Malone, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

Malone might still be hurting after the 13-5 defeat they got from Sneads when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
