Basketball Recap: IDEA Frontier College Prep Comes Up Short

IDEA Frontier College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the IDEA Weslaco Pike Mavericks. IDEA Frontier College Prep was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as IDEA Weslaco Pike apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Despite the loss, IDEA Frontier College Prep still got an impressive performance from Mario Quezada, who posted 23 points and three steals. That was a full 46.9% of IDEA Frontier College Prep's points, marking the tenth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Granado, who had seven points along with ten boards and five assists.
