Volleyball Game Preview: Damien Spartans vs. Upland Highlanders/Scots

Damien is 1-8 against Upland since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Spartans will take on the Highlanders/Scots at 4:45 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Damien is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Claremont.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Upland unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chino Hills.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 21-25, 25-15, 25-18.

Damien's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Upland, their loss dropped their record down to 19-5.

Damien came up short against Upland in their previous matchup on Monday, falling 3-1. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
