Olathe West has gone a perfect 8-0 against Gardner-Edgerton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Owls will look to defend their home pitch against the Trailblazers at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Gardner-Edgerton better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Olathe West's game last Tuesday is any indication, that's when Olathe West really gets things going. The Owls' defense stepped up to hand Lawrence Free State a 5-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for Olathe West in their matchups with Lawrence Free State: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gardner-Edgerton). Everything went their way against Olathe South on Tuesday as they made off with a 5-1 win.

The victory got Gardner-Edgerton back to even at 6-6. As for Olathe West, their win bumped their record up to 2-0-1.
