Basketball Recap: West Lauderdale Comes Up Short

West Lauderdale was the 62-50 winner over Northeast Lauderdale when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The West Lauderdale Knights took a 47-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northeast Lauderdale Trojans.

Troy Brown was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 13 boards for Northeast Lauderdale. Brown has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Bj Portis, who posted eight points.

West Lauderdale's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Northeast Lauderdale, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

As of now, neither West Lauderdale nor Northeast Lauderdale have any future games scheduled.
