Volleyball Recap: Bismarck Beats Ste. Genevieve for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Bismarck hadn't done well against Ste. Genevieve recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Indians blew past the Dragons 3-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Indians, who have now won five matches in a row.

Bismarck never let Ste. Genevieve on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17, 25-22.

Ashley Hawkins paced Bismarck's offense, picking up 13 kills. Hawkins got some help from Kinsey Hubbs and her 33 assists. Hubbs was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Bismarck's win bumped their record up to 22-2. As for Ste. Genevieve, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-9-1.

Bismarck didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against West County on the 7th. As for Ste. Genevieve, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Fredericktown on the 7th.
