Basketball Recap: Watseka Takes a Loss

Watseka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 43-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Salt Fork Storm. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 48-30 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Watseka's loss dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Salt Fork, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Watseka will face off against Hoopeston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Salt Fork, they will challenge Oakwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
