Baseball Recap: Smoky Mountain Takes a Loss

Smoky Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 8-2 to the East Henderson Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 10-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Smoky Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for East Henderson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-13.

Smoky Mountain didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-4 win against Pisgah on the 29th. As for East Henderson, they have also already played their next game, a 1-0 defeat against Chase on the 24th.
