After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Ridgeland finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They lost 18-2 to the Vicksburg Gators. The Titans' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Sarah Caldwell was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Ridgeland's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Vicksburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-11 record this season.

Ridgeland will face off against Warren Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vicksburg, they will challenge Loyd Star at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Gators' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
