Recap: Burroughs Burros vs. Apple Valley Sun Devils
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oak Hills, the Burroughs Burros were happy to have found some success on Friday. They slipped by Apple Valley 49-48. This was payback for Burroughs, who suffered a 62-56 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Burroughs found their leader in underclassman Trevor Rowland, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Dominic Sellers, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Burroughs now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Apple Valley, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burroughs will take on Serrano at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Apple Valley, they will be playing at home against Sultana at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Sultana and five for Apple Valley.
